Scan Vignettes features imperfect and quickly captured 3D scans of my body placed in a series of environments, while they perform uncanny and surreal contortions. Each scan forms their own disembodied character from the initial scan, to animation, to existing in their own realities. Separated and inserted into a virtual space, they flex, bend and pose beyond their original source's capability. These scans and their various impossible forms are a perhaps futile attempt at reclamation in a fractured sense of existence within an increasingly cybernetic world.
